July 4 1692

Joannes Wynant died in Denderhoutem, where he had married Elisabeth Lievens, who was born there in 1644.

They were the parents of Gisbertus Wynant (Denderhoutem 1692 - 1743).

They are ancestors of my great-grandmother Blondina Muylaert (Denderhoutem 1842 - Pamel 1942). The line has been described before.

See for instance the post on "June 12 1672".

July 1 1695

Egidius Goossens was born in Denderhoutem, a son of Joannes (Denderhoutem 1652 - 1732) and Maria Guns, born there in 1660.

Egidius married Elisabeth Wynant (Denderhoutem 1698 - 1781) in 1719 and they may have had eleven children.

Franciscus Goossens, one of their sons (Denderhoutem 1733 - 1778) was the second of three husbands of Joanna Catharina De Dier (Denderhoutem 1738 - 1822).

My descendance from this couple has been described in various posts, including "March 20 1774".

June 12 1672

Gisbertus Wynant was born in Denderhoutem, one of probably five children of Joannes, who died in Denderhoutem in 1692 and of Elisabeth Lievens, who was born there in 1644.

In 1697, Gisbertus married Livina Lievens (Denderhoutem 1675 - 1742) with whom he had eight children.

For the remainder of the line, see the posts "May 1 1742" and "November 8 1693".

I haven't yet looked into the possible blood relationship between Elisabeth Lievens and her daughter in law Livina Lievens.

May 1 1742

Livina Lievens passed away in Denderhoutem where she had been born on February 21 1675.

She was the wife of Gisbertus Wynant (Denderhoutem 1672 - 1743).

Elisabeth Wynant (Denderhoutem 1698 - 1781) was their daughter. For the rest of the line : see "November 8 1693".

April 15 1781

Elisabeth Wynant died in Denderhoutem, where she had been born on August 10 1698. In 1719, she married Egidius Goossens (Denderhoutem 1695 - 1762).

See the post on "March 23 1613".

March 23 1613

Steven Lievens was born in Denderhoutem, a son of Petrus who died in the wame village in 1647 and of Elisabeth Guns, who died there in 1651.

Steven married Petronella Van der Haegen (Denderhoutem 1625 - 1691) in 1643 and must have died before 1652 as his wife remarried in June of that year. To the best of my knowledge, she had two children with her first husband, and two with the second.

Their daughter Elisabeth Lievens was born in Denderhoutem in 1644. She married Joannes Wynant, who died in 1692.

Gisbertus Wynant, one of their children (Denderhoutem 1672 - 1743), married Livina Lievens (Denderhoutem 1675 - 1742). I haven't yet looked at the possible and probable kinship between Livina and the forementioned Lievens.

Their daughter Elisabeth Wynant (Denderhoutem 1698 - 1781) married Egidius Goossens (Denderhoutem1695 - 1762).

Once more we are on familiar grounds : see "November 8 1693".

February 21 1675

Livina Lievens was born in Denderhoutem, a daughter to Joannes, who died in Denderhoutem in 1693 and to Anna Van der Heyden, who died there in 1714.

Livina married Gisbertus Wynant (Denderhoutem 1672 - 1743) and died in the same village on May 1 1742.

For the remainder of the line, see the post for "November 8 1693".

January 17 1733

Franciscus Goossens was born in Denderhoutem, a son of Egidius (Denderhoutem 1695 - 1762) and of Elisabeth Wynant (Denderhoutem 1698 - 1781).

In 1768, he married Joanna Catharina De Dier (Denderhoutem - 1738 - 1822) : he was the second of her three spouses. He died in Denderhoutem on March 2 1778.

Maria Anna Goossens (Denderhoutem 1774 - 1852) was one of the children of Franciscus and Joanna Catharina. Coleta Vlaeminck (Denderhoutem 1813 - 1871), one of my great-great-grandmothers, was their daughter.

See "December 6 1822", "October 25 1691", "November 17 1666" ...

December 31 1762

Egidius Goossens died in Denderhoutem where he had been born on July 1 1695. He had eleven children with his wife Elisabeth Wynant (Denderhoutem 1695 - 1781).

The line has been described before. See "November 28 1594", "October 24 1732" and "August 10 1698".

November 8 1693

Joannes Lievens died in Denderhoutem. In 1674 he married Anna Van der Heyden who died in 1714.

They had five children : their eldest, Livina Lievens (Denderhoutem 1675 - 1742) was the mother of Elisabeth Wijnant (Denderhoutem 1698 -1781), who, to the best of my knowledge, had 11 children.

Her son Franciscus Goossens (Denderhoutem 1733 - 1778) was the father of Maria Anna Goossens (Denderhoutem 1774 -1852).

Maria Anna was the mother of my great-great-grandmother Coleta Vlaemick (Denderhoutem 1813 - 1891). See "October 25 1691", "October 24 1732" ...

October 25 1691

Petrina Van der Haegen was born in Denderhoutem on March 26 1625, where she died on October 25 1691. She married twice. With her first husband Steven Lievens, born in Denderhoutem in 1613, she had a son and a a daughter : Elisabeth Lievens, born in Denderhoutem in 1644.

Elisabeth had a son Gisbertus Wynant (Denderhoutem 1672 - 1743).

Gisbertus had a daughter Elisabeth Wynant (Denderhoutem 1698 - 1781). Elisabeth was the mother of Franciscus Goossens (Denderhoutem 1733 - 1778).

Franciscus had a daughter Maria Anna Goossens (Denderhoutem 1771 - 1852) who was the mother of my great-great-grandmother Coleta Vlaeminck (Denderhoutem 1813 - 1891), mentioned in the previous post.

September 8 1644

Elisabeth Lievens was born in Denderhoutem where she married Joannes Wynant who died in 1692. We met her before (see "August 16 1647").

September 4 1672

On that day, Gisbertus Wynant died (or was buried) in Denderhoutem, where he had been born (or baptized) on June 12 1672.

He married Livina Lievens (Denderhoutem 1675 - 1742) and their descendance has been given in "August 16 1647".

A note which I should have written at the very start of this blog : before the French Revolution almost all dates are based on parish records, which means that in most cases it is unclear whether dates given are for births or baptisms (most children were baptised - when at all possible - on the day they were born) and for deaths or burials.

August 16 1647

Petrus Lievens died in Denderhoutem on August 16 1647. His son Steven, born in Denderhoutem in 1613, had a daughter Elisabeth, born in Denderhoutem in 1644. She was the mother of Gisbertus Wynant (Denderhoutem 1672 - 1743), who was the father of Elisabeth Wynant (Denderhoutem 1698 - 1781).

Elisabeth's son Franciscus Goossens (Denderhoutem 1733 - 1778) was the father of Maria Anna Goossens (Denderhoutem 1774 - 1852).

Maria Anna was the mother of Coleta Vlaeminck (Denderhoutem 1813 - 1891), my great-great-grandmother. See the article "August 10 1698").

August 10 1698

On that date, Elisabeth Wynant was born in Denderhoutem, where she died on April 15 1781.
She married Egidius Goossens (Denderhoutem 1695 - 1762).

Their son Franciscus Goossens (Denderhoutem 1733 - 1778) had a daughter Maria Anna (Denderhoutem 1774 - 1852), who mothered Coleta Vlaeminck (Denderhoutem 1774 - 1852).

Coleta was the mother of my great-grandmother Blondina Muylaert (Denderhoutem 1849 - Pamel 1942), who hes been mentioned before on this blog.

Family events on July 4

On July 4 1692 Joannes Wynant passed away at Denderhoutem. He was an ancestor - six generations removed - of my great-grandmother Blondine Muylaert (Denderhoutem June 4 1849 - Pamel February 10 1942).

On July 4 1857 Amandus Neukermans passed away at Okegem, aged 33 years : he was born at Okegem on March 15 1824. On September 6 1849 he married Catherina Asselman (Okegem June 7 1823 - Okegem January 10 1892) . They had 5 children. Hermilianus, my great-grandfather (Okegem October 3 1855 - Okegem September 7 1932) was their fourth child : he never knew his father since he was less than two years old when his father died.

Amandus was a miller's man (molenaarsgast) and his wife never remarried. The couple lived on the Rattenberg where my grandfather eventually passed away. The property was then sold : it had probably been in the family since the Neukermans arrived in Okegem late in the XVIIth - early in the XVIIIth century.
