Marcom Menschaert died in Nederhasselt. He was the husband of Anna Catharina Menschaert who died in Nederhasselt in 1833. They were the parents of Regina Menschaert (Nederhasselt ca 1799 - 1859) who became the mother of Virginia Meganck (Nederhasselt 1834 - 1917) : see "June 27 1838" and other posts.
I know next to nothing about Marcom and Anna Catharina - I have to research this whole branch of my ancestry.

Livinus Meganck died in Zandbergen. He was married to Josepha De Fru who died there in 1839, about one year and a half after her husband.
They has a son Franciscus Meganck who was born ca 1798 in Nederhasselt and died there in 1869. He married Regina Menschaert (Nederhasselt ca 1799 - 1859).
Franciscus and Regina had a daughter Virginia (Nederhasselt 1834 - 1917) who married Petrus Josephus Goessens (Nederhasselt 1836 - 1928). We have met this couple before.
Their eldest daughter was Maria Elisabeth Goessens (Brussel 1862 - Meerbeke 1934), one of my great-grandmothers.
See the post : "May 20 1834".
I have not yet explored this branch of my ancestry. I do not yet have the composition of the various households.

Virginia Meganck was born in Nederhasselt, a daughter to (Joannes ?) Franciscus Meganck (Aspelare 1799 - Nederhasselt 1869) and to Regina (Victoria ?) Menschaert (Geraardsbergen 1792 - Nederhasselt 1859).
When Virginia married Petrus Josephus Goessens (Nederhasselt 1836 - 1928) in 1871, they already had three children. In total, they had seven children.
Their oldest child, Maria Elisabeth Goessens, was born in Brussels in 1862, married in Nederhasselt in 1883, and died in Meerbeke in 1934.
Maria Elisabeth and her husband Josephus Timmermans (Meerbeke 1858 - 1929) were my great-grandparents.
See also the posts : "May 4 1861", "March 22 1859" and "March 8 1862".
I still have some checking to do for the first names of Virginia's parents, and for their dates of birth. (Joannes ?) Franciscus was a miller's son (and a miller himself ?) and Regina (Victoria ?) was the daughter of a Menschaert-Menschaert marriage of apparently relatively well-to-do farmers.
I owe this information to the grandson of a sister of my great-grandmother Maria Elisabeth.

Franciscus Meganck, born in Nederhasselt ca 1798, died there on forementioned day. He was married to Regina Menschaert (Nederhasselt ca 1799 - 1859) where they lived in the village square (Plaats).
I haven't yet looked up their children except for Virginia Meganck (Nederhasselt 1834 - 1917), one of my great-great-grandmothers. See the post "March 22 1859".

Regina Menschaert died in Nederhasselt, where she had been born ca 1799. She married Franciscus Meganck (Nederhasselt ca 1798 - 1869). I still have to look up their children but one : Virginia Meganck (Nederhasselt 1834 - 1917), my great-great-grandmother.
Virginia married Petrus Josephus Goessens (Nederhasselt 1836 - 1928). They had eight children, three of which were born before they eventually married. A distant relative of mine, who also is a descendant of Petrus Josephus and Virginia, is trying to clarify the mysteries surrounding this couple : why did they marry so late ? Was there an important social "chasm" between the spouses ? Why was their oldest daughter born in Brussels ?
Their eldest daughter Maria Elisabeth Goessens (Brussels 1862 - Meerbeke 1834) married Josephus Timmermans (Meerbeke 1858 - 1928). They were my great-grandparents. I wrote about them on various occasions : see "March 8 1862" and others.
