July 10 1697 (again)

See the post "July 10 1697" which I wrote last year. Catharina Gansemans died in Pamel of dysenteria. She had four children with her first husband, Cornelius Van Nieuwenhove, who died in Pamel in 1676, and one with her second husband, who survived her for many years.

In the "Gezinsreconstructie gemeente Pamel 1622 - 1799" there are four Gansemans households and three Van Nieuwenhove households, which may indicate that the roots of these families are to be found elsewhere. Van Nieuwenhove was not an unusual name in some of the neighbouring villages. In a more recent past - after the French revolution - there were more Gansemans households but no more Van Nieuwenhove households in Pamel.

The children of Cornelius and Catharina were :

-- Joannes, who died (young) in 1669 in Pamel ;
-- Maria, born in Pamel in 1660 ;
-- Catharina, my ancestor, born in Pamel in 1663, who married Petrus De Vidts (Pamel 1655 - 1726) in 1694. She died in 1743 in Pamel Kwinkeleer ;
-- Joanna, born in Pamel in 1666.

Three girls and one boy who died young. End of that line of Van Nieuwenhove's in Pamel.

April 24 1676

Cornelius Van Nieuwenhove died in Pamel. He was the first spouse of Catharina Gansemans, who died in Pamel in 1697.

They had four children. I descend from their daughter Catharina (Pamel 1663 - 1743) who married Petrus De Vidts (Pamel 1663 - 1743).

April 24 1693

Adrianus Van de Perre died in Okegem. His widow Christina Gansemans survived him for 22 years but fell on very hard times. We know that she had to be supported by the "armentafel" in 1712-1713.

Adrianus and Christina had four children.The line has been described in the post for "February 7 1642".

February 7 1642

Adrianus Van de Perre, born in Haaltert, died in Okegem where he was buried one day later, on February 8 1642. In 1627 he had married Margaretha Cammaerts, who died in Okegem in 1604.

Their son Adrianus, who died in Okegem in 1693, married Christina Gansemans, who expired in Okegem in 1715.

Laurentius Van de Perre (Okegem 1673 - died after 1730), a son of Adrianus and Christina, married Catharina Van Geet, born in Iddergem, and who died in Okegem in 1727.

Laurentius and Catharina had a son Joannes (Okegem 1706 - 1762) who married Magdalena Paridaens (Pamel 1702 - 1785). We remembered her a couple of days ago.

I descend from two children of Joannes and Magdalena :

Catharina (Okegem 1735 - 1812)

Jacobus Antonius (Okegem 1740 - 1712).

December 28 1632

On that day, Judoca Schoenmaeckers died in Okegem, where she was buried the next day. She married Gijsbrecht Vernaillen, who died in 1637.

I descend from three of their five children.

-- their first son Judocus Vernaillen died in Okegem in 1652. He married Maria Beeckman. I descend from two of their children : Livina, who married Niclaas De Mol in 1666, and Adrianus, who married Joanna Gansemans in 1653.

-- their second daughter Maria Vernaillen died in Okegem in 1658 where she had married Engelbert Van den Waterloop in 1658. I descend from their son Henricus, who married Joanna De Winne, and who died in 1673.

-- their third son Adrianus Vernaillen (Okegem 1605 - 1647) married Barbara Taelman. His daughter Cornelia who was born ca 1640 married Joannes De Mol. They were the parents of the forementioned Niclaas De Mol, who thus married his second cousin (fifth degree).

You see why I wrote I need to concentrate on these posts ? A real spaghetti of relationships ... I do not yet have the genealogical software required to represent these relations in an acceptable graphical way.

October 18 1715

On that day Christina Gansemans died in Okegem. She had been married to Adrianus Van de Perre who died in 1693.

Their son Laurentius (Okegem 1673 - 1730) was the father of Joannes (Okegem 1706 - 1762).

I descend from his daughter Catharina Van de Perre (Okegem 1735 - 1812) and from his son Joannes Antonius Van de Perre (Okegem 1740 - 1712). The two lines have been described before in "September 15 1655 ".

August 30 1677

On that day, Joanna Gansemans, born in Tollembeek, died in Okegem where she had married Adrianus Vernaillen in 1653.

Their son Michael Vernaillen, born in Okegem in 1657, probably moved to Denderleeuw where he had a son Egidius (Denderleeuw 1691 - Okegem 1759). The rest of the story has been told before : see "August 26 1759" and "July 10 1663".

July 10 1697

On July 10 1697 Catharina Gansemans died at Pamel. She married twice. From het first husband she had Catharina Van Nieuwenhove (Pamel 1663 - Pamel 1743). The whole following line lived in Pamel.
Catharina Van Nieuwenhove married Petrus De Vidts (1655 - 1726), who had a son Judocus (1703 - 1750), who begot Petrus Joannes (1749 - 1793). Then came Joannes Franciscus (1784 - 1839) who was the father of Joannes (1811 - 1881), the father of my great-grandfather Felix De Vidts.
