Paulus Franciscus Vlaeminck

Paulus Franciscus Vlaeminck was born in Massemen on August 1 1773. See the post for that date. He was a son of Jan Baptist (Melle 1741 - Massemen 1802) and Petronella Jacoba Leus of Massemen.

In 1805, Paulus Franciscus married Maria Anna Goossens (Denderhoutem 1774 - 1852). Maria Anna remarried after the death of Paulus Franciscus, but had no offspring with her second husband.

With her first husband, and according to the available data in the "gezinsreconstructies" for Denderhoutem, she had nine children :

-- Francisca, born in 1802. Francisca married and had four children. She died in 1834 ;
-- Rosalia, born in 1803. Rosalia married and had eight children. She died in 1858 ;
-- Augustinus (Denderhoutem 1805 - 1806) ;
-- Maria Theresia (Denderhoutem 1807 - 1876). She too married and had nine children ;
-- Donatus (Denderhoutem 1809- 1873). He married and had one child ;
-- Alexander (Denderhoutem 1812 - 1812). He lived for a couple of months ;

-- Coleta (Denderhoutem 1813 - 1891). She had eight children out of two marriages ; I descend from her second marriage ;

-- Bernardina (Denderhoutem 1817 - ?) and her twin brother Petrus Josephus (Denderhoutem 1817 - ?).

My maternal great-grandmother Blondina Muylaert (Denderhoutem 1849 - Pamel 1942), Coleta's daughter, surely had an extensive family, but then, up to the 19th and early 20th century, who hadn't ?

In this blog, I use the ortograph Vlaeminck ; in most of my sources Vlaminck is used.

Joannes Baptist Vlaeminck died in Massemen. He had been born in Melle on October 23 1741. He married Petronella Jacoba Leus.

Their son Paulus Franciscus (Massemen 1773 - Aalst 1819) became the first husband of Maria Anna Goossens (Denderhoutem 1774 - 1852) in 1805.

They were the parents of my great-great-grandmother Coleta Vlaeminck (Denderhoutem 1813 - 1891).

Throughout this blog I have taken some liberties with the spelling of the family names. The Vlaeminck family I report on is, more often that not, spelled Vlaminck. For the Ravijst family, the variations are "almost" endless ...

Joannes Baptist Vlaeminck was born in Melle on October 23 1741 and died in Massemen op May 15 1802. He married Petronella Jacoba Leus.

They had a son Paulus Franciscus Vlaeminck (Massemen 1773 - Aalst 1819). He was the father of Coleta Vlaeminck (who was born and died in Denderhoutem 1831 - 1891).

Coleta was the mother of my great-grandmother Blondina Muylaert (Denderhoutem 1849 - Pamel 1942).
