Barbara Mottemans

Barbara Mottemans (Beyken) died in Pamel on August 2 1668. See the post for that date. She was a daughter of Arnoldus (who died in 1664) and of Barbara De Cuyper, who died in 1666. Both her parents died in Pamel.

She was the wife of Georgius Jespers, who died in Pamel in 1681. They had nine children.

-- Arnoldus, who died in Pamel in 1649 ;
-- Elisabeth, who lived for a couple of days in september 1647 in Pamel ;
-- Godfried, born in Pamel in 1650 ;
-- Mattheus, born in Pamel in 1651 and who married at a ripe age in 1701 in Pamel ;
-- another Arnoldus, born in Pamel in 1654 ;

-- Elisabeth, born in Pamel in 1656 and who died in Pamel Poelkebeek in 1719. In 1681 she married Petrus Stockmans who died in Pamel in 1729. I descend from that couple ;

-- Joannes, born in Pamel in 1660. He married twice, the second time a couple of months before his death in Pamel Poelkebeek in 1701 ;
-- Barbara, born in Pamel in 1664 ;
-- Petrus, born in Pamel in 1666.

After Barbara's death, Georgius married Elisabeth Hoeberghs in Pamel in 1670. There was no issue from the second marriage.

April 3 1666

On that day, Barbara De Cuyper died in Impegem. In 1619, Arnoldus Mottemans, born in Teralfene, became her second husband. He died in Impegem in 1664.

The couple had six children, of which Barbara Mottemans, who died in Pamel in 1668, was the fifth.

The line has been described before : see "February 3 1664" and other posts.

February 3 1664

Arnoldus Mottemans (Arent) was born in Teralfene but died, in Impegem on that date. He married Barbara De Cuyper (+ Impegem 1666).

They had six children : Barbara Mottemans (+ Pamel 1668) was the fifth. With her husband, Georgius Jespers (+ Pamel 1681) - who remarried after her death - she had nine children.

Elisabeth Jespers (Pamel 1656 - 1719) was number six. In 1681, she married Petrus Stockmans (+ Pamel 1729), with whom she had six children.

The last of the six was Petronella Stockmans (Pamel 1698 - 1768) who married Joannes Janssens (Pamel ca 1700 - 1770) in 1723.

They had six children. The fourth was Joanna Maria Janssens (Pamel 1729 - 1790) who married her first husband, Augustinus Van Eeckhoudt (Pamel 1727 - 1775) in 1757. They had eight children, but we have been in known territory for some time now : see various posts, including "January 8 1652".

January 31 1627

On that day, Joannes De Cuyper died in Impegem. He had five children with Jasperina De Boeck who died in Impegem in 1652.

I descend from their daughter Barbara De Cuyper, who died in Okegem in 1666.

The line, from Jasperina on, has been described in post "January 8 1652".

January 8 1652

De Boeck Jasperina died in Impegem. There is an all female line to me, with the exception of one single generation.

De Boeck Jasperina had a daughter Barbara De Cuyper, who died in 1666 in Okegem (or Impegem).

Barbara De Cuyper had a daughter Barbara Mottemans, who passed away in Pamel in 1668.

Barbara De Cuyper had a daughter Elisabeth Jespers who lived in Pamel from 1656 to 1719.

Elisabeth had a daughter Petronella Stockmans, who lived in Pamel from ca 1700 to 1770.

Petronella had a daughter Joanna Maria Janssens (Pamel 1729 - 1770).

Joanna Maria had a daughter Petronella Van Eeckhoudt (Pamel 1771 - 1828).

Petronella had a daughter Maria Elisabeth Van der Sleyen (Pamel 1811 - 1860).

Maria Elisabeth had a son Felix De Vidts (Pamel 1853 -1940).

Felix had a daughter Maria Antonia De Vidts (Pamel 1885 - Okegem 1949).

Maria Antonia had a daughter Margaretha Neukermans (Okegem 1914 - Gent 2000), my mother.

So my great-grandfather Felix was the only male link is this line. I have indicated before that I also descend on my father's mother side from Antonia, a sister of Felix.
