Sweet memories of days long gone ... and of holidays spent with them.
A picture of my maternal grandparents with three of their grandchildren in their garden in Okegem in the late 1940's. Their house and barn (long since demolished) are in the background to the right.
My grandparents had four more grandchildren, one of which was born some months before the death of my grandmother in September 1949 ; the others were born in the early fifties.
I am older now than my grandparents were in that picture ...
