Since December 24, my delay in reporting on my direct ancestors has grown to some twenty posts. Writing these posts requires some concentration which I seem to have lost for the time being. Moreover I also have to keep working on extending my data further. I possess a significanty amount of information which I haven't treated yet. But as the gap in my blog grows and grows, I will have to start again sooner than later. Bear with me, please.
By the way, I seem to have developed a small following of regular readers who never react to my posts. Not to make too fine a point of it, I yet have to receive the first reaction on one of my genealogy posts. I want to repeat here that all persons interested in the families I report on are very welcome to react on the blog site itself or to address questions and remarks to etpatim@yahoo.com.
I also want to repeat that my main "puzzles" remain :
- where did the Neukermans come from who located in Okegem at the end of the seventeenth, beginning of the eighteenth century (region of Geraardsbergen, Lettelingen /Enghien, Denderhoutem ?). See post "Neukermans, Okegem".
- where did Jan Baptist Ravijst (Ravyts etc ...) born in the very early years of the nineteenth cenury hail from (Galmaarden, Tollembeek, region of Asse ?). See post : "Ravijst, Nieuwenhove and Meerbeke).
All help will be sincerely appreciated.
