On that day, Petrus Josephus Goessens was born in Nederhasselt. He was a son of Joannes Baptiste Goessens, born in Nederhasselt ca 1790 and of Joanna Waegeman, born in Nederhasselt ca 1794 (I haven't yet researched the exact dates of their birth and death).

Petrus Josephus married Virginie Meganck (Nederhasselt 1834 - 1917) and died in Nederhasselt on May 20 1928. There is still some confusion about the date of the marriage as related to the birth of their children.

My great-grandmother Maria Elisabeth Goessens, probably their eldest daughter, was born in Brussels in 1862 and died in Meerbeke in 1934.
