Joannes De Vidts was born in Pamel, te Koddekes in the Brusselsestraat. In 1834, he married Maria Elisabeth Van der Sleyen (Pamel 1811 - 1860). They had seven children.

Joannes died in Pamel on August 27 1881.

As stated many times before, even yesterday, my father descends from their third child, Antonia. My mother descends from their youngest child, Felix.
