The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute SIPRI has published its annual report.

The USA remain the world leader in military expenditure with 547 bio USD, before the UK, China, France, Japan, Germany, Russia, Saudi Arabia (!), Italy and India.

The USA spends almost half (45 % to be correct) of each dollar of defense expenditure worldwide.

Russia ranks seventh in the list of big spenders with a relatively "weak" 35.4 bio : Germany spends more, and Saudi Arabia spends almost as much.

The USA - a country built on unlimited opportunity (at least until very recently), on freedom (American style), on the dollar and on ... violence.

Just reread American history. Generosity plays a big role in it, violence plays a bigger one.
