Maria Elisabeth Van Lierde was born, the fifth of eleven children of miller Joannes Josephus Van Lierde (Pamel 1746 - 1811) and farmer's daughter from hof the Berchem Maria Josina Covens (Pamel 1759 - 1827).

Maria Elisabeth married Joannes Franciscus De Vidts (Pamel 1784 - 1839) with whom she had eight children. They were innkeepers (herbergier) in the Brusselstraat in a place which later became the new village center. Maria Elisabeth died on April 27 1838.

Joannes De Vidts (Pamel 1811 - 1881) was their second son and my ancestor.
