Obama

De Standaard interrogated 35 members - left, right and center - of the Flemish parliament about their preferences for the US presidency. Six didn't know, the republicans got three votes and the democrats 26. Obama got 21 of those. Words like renewal and change were used a lot.

So our representatives not only do believe their own promises, they also believe other politicians who make these promises, as long as they are not their own competitors.

I myself am glad that I am not an American. I think the choice they have is poor to very poor. That being said, I most certainly would prefer Clinton over Obama.

The question was - of course - totally absurd and meaningless, but it filled two pages of the paper, thank you.
