Sharia ?

The archbishop of Canterbury says the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK "seems unavoidable".

Dr Rowan Williams said that the UK has to "face up to the fact" that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system. Dr Williams argues that adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion.

For example, Muslims could choose to have marital disputes or financial matters dealt with in a Sharia court. He says Muslims should not have to choose between "the stark alternatives of cultural loyalty or state loyalty".

I shall abstain from any comment because I couldn't possible remain polite if I were to enter into this matter.

The man is labeled a "progressive".
Progressive toward what ? The kingdom of heaven or the yanwning precipice and the end of European civilisation as we know it today. Let's all just roll over and give up.

The man is totally and fundamentally wrong and harvested a storm of criticism, even in politically correct circles.

He may be nice and lovable and all that, but the word "bonkers" comes to mind.
