February 12 1658

Maria (Maayken) Appelmans (born ca 1590) died on that day. Around 1617 she married Jacobus De Vidts (Pamel ca 1590 - 1679). They had five or six children.

They are not in the direct line of De Vidts leading to my maternal grandmother Maria Antonia De Vidts (Pamel 1885 - 1949).

Their son Petrus (Pamel ca 1618 - 1668) married Josina Van Nieuwenhove (born in Aspelare or in Appelterre - died in Pamel in 1668). I have described bits and pieces of this line before, but I shall repeat it here.

Petrus De Vidts and Josina had a son Joannes (Pamel 1651 - 1724) who married Maria De Vleminck, who died in Pamel in 1716.

Joannes and Maria had a daughter Joanna Maria De Vidts (Pamel 1683 - 1726) who married Joannes Baveghems (Pamel 1681 - 1737).

Joanna Maria and Joannes had a daughter Elisabeth Baveghems (Pamel 1723 - 1807) and her first husband was Martinus Gerardus Van Lierde, born in Idegem before 1723 and who died in Pamel in 1754.

Their son Joannes Josephus Van Lierde (Pamel 1746 - 1811) married Maria Josina Covens (Pamel 1759 - 1827). They had a daughter Maria Elisabeth Van Lierde (Pamel 1790 - 1838) who married Joannes Franciscus De Vidts (Pamel 1784 - 1835). Now we rejoin the direct De Vidts line to my grandmother on my mother's side.

Their son Joannes De Vidts (Pamel 1811 - 1881) married Maria Elisabeth Van der Sleyen (Pamel 1811 - 1860).

Through their daughter Antonia, born in Pamel in 1840, they were ancestors of my father's mother (Antonia was one of my great-grandmothers) ; their son Felix (Pamel 1853 - 1940) was one of my maternal great-grandfathers. The links through Antonia and Felix have been described a couple of times before.
