Liars

When I get "launched", it is difficult to stop me.

I do not think that hot air containers, like many (green) politicians and activists, mr Gore included, will change anything. Saving energy and reducing our ecological footprint won't either.

These merely punctual measures are, as we say in Flemish, nothing more than small drops of water on a scorchingly hot plate. Kurieren am Sympton as our neighbors say.

Those who prophecy that this tinkering in the margin will solve the problem are either stupid, or outright liars.

The problem is so gigantic and immense that solving it will require a total change of our lifestyles.

Even that will not be sufficient : the solution will require a total change of our socio-economic system because our profit oriented society based on growth and greed most probably will not generate viable long term solutions.

I do not see that happening anytime soon ... and I most certainly wouldn't know how to go about it either. Once again, defining the problem is so much easier than finding the solution.
Any valid ideas out there ?
