February 14 1975

On February 14 1975 Pelham Grenville Wodehouse passed away at the venerable age of almost 94 years.

The creator of Jeeves, Bertie Wooster, Blandings Castle and other comic marvels, a very prolific writer, died in the USA. I possess almost 100 of his books.

See : http://www.pgwodehousesociety.org.uk/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P._G._Wodehouse.

No single author gave me more joy and pleasure than Plum. He may not have been the smartest of men (cfr his wartime bĂȘtises which cost him very dearly) but he was a brilliant author, "the performing flea" of English litterature.
