I remember I was sitting in my easy chair, merrily zapping around.

Courtesy of CNN, I saw the plane crashing in the second WTC tower. A moment of utter disbelief and boiling horror and disgust never to be forgotten.

And eight years and two wars later (both still ungoing), we have learned nothing : the threat of extremism is still hanging over our heads, and the real sources of extremism and terrorism have not been tackled.
