The EU to the rescue

The leaders of the European G4 (France, Great Britain, Germany and Italy) which in itself is a negation of the EU, have been unable to define a common strategy or policies to fight the international financial crisis on a European level.

Are you surprised ? I am not.

Wherever the EU is not needed, it is present and active, for instance with detailed and unending regulations in totally unimportant fields.

Wherever it is needed - that is wherever it could have real value added - it is not to be found (international crisis, common defence) and so on. One possible (just possible) exception : the euro. An exageration ? Barely.

Very busy busybodies indeed !
