Normandy

Tonight and tomorrow is the 64th anniversary of the landing of the Allied Forces on the Normandy beaches. It took a lot of heroism, misery and bloodshed and almost another year to crush the nazi beast.

The whole population of occupied Europe, some quislings excepted, had been hoping, waiting and praying for that day.

I remember asking my father when the got news from the landing. Thanks to the BBC, they knew it the same day.

May all innocent victims of this slaughterhouse rest in piece, and may the others roast in hell for all eternity. If for no other reason, I sincerly hope that hell exists. In my dreams, they have to build their own ovens first.
