70 years old Mexican telecom tycoon Carlos Slim Helu finally made it : according to Forbes he dethroned Bill Gates and is now the world's richest man with 53.5 bio USD.

Nice work. But getting there is not as easy as it looks. One needs a lot of help and mutual back scratching, and not too much respect for mine and thine.

I heard mister Forbes declare on TV that mister Slim also dabbles in cement. That may well be ; I din't know that but I have been out of the cement market for a full nine years now, and a lot can have happened in that time. Still, I think mister Forbes made a slip-up and was thinking about Cemex's Lorenzo Zambrano, a billionaire in his own right, but not in the Slim league.
