Limits

There are limits to everything : even to my contrarianism.

In my newspaper a wine connoisseur states that the average consumer, and even experts, very often cannot taste the difference between French champagne and other sparkling wines.

I think I belong to that category. Still, I would be offended if I were served a glass of bubbly having asked for a glas of champagne.

Not because I would have been robbed by paying the price of a glass of champagne for a glass of bubbly. Being snob enough to insist on champagne, I would have been robbed in any case !

Still, I insist on champagne whenever I feel festive. Fortunately, that does not happen very often.
