Professional idiots

When I began writing my blog, I immediately stated that economists sometimes become professional idiots. Over the last couple of months, this thesis has been amply proven.

It is an absolutely deserved and a correct sneer ; but it also is a totally unjust one.

Should be added : many high ranking bankers - sometimes one even wonders whether they are professional idiots or idiots pure and simple ; a herd of politicians ; a lot of journalists ... Please fill in the list at your own convenience.

I feel a growing need to add medical doctors to the list, but fortunately there are still a few around whom I trust completely.
