November 11 1858

Exactly 150 years ago today, my great-grandmother, the mother of my maternal grandfather, was born in Okegem. Clemence Broeckaert had ten children with Hermilianus Neukermans (Okegem 1855 - 1932). She died on November 8 1939, a couple of days shy of her 81th birthday and was buried on November 10, one day before her 81 birthday. The Broeckaert family has been traced back to Wetteren in the late 16th century.
