On that day Virginia Meganck died in Nederhasselt, where she had been born on May 20 1834.
She married Petrus Josephus Goessens (Nederhasselt 1836 - 1928).

They were the parents of my great-grandmother, Maria Elisabeth Goessens (Brussel 1862 - Nederhasselt 1934), the spouse of Josephus Timmermans (Meerbeke 1858 - 1929), with whom - according to my research - she had 13 children, my grand-uncles and grand-aunts (one daughter must have died very young and was not remembered by later generations).

One of the problems I still have to solve is how Maria Elisabeth, probably the first born of Virginia and Petrus Josephus came to be born in Brussels - all of their younger children (with the possible exception of one other daughter) were born in Nederhasselt. It is certain that later on the family returned to Nederhasselt, where Maria Elisabeth married Josephus in 1883.
I have some (probably totally erroneous ) ideas about the birth in Brussels, but no proof at all. So, if anyone can help ...
