On that day, Nicolaus Sterckx was born on Kriebrug in Pamel. He married a distant relative Catharina Suzanna Van Tricht (Pamel 1725 - 1799), who proved "meisenier-ship" in 1767. Nicolaus died in Pamel on February 9 1803.
Sterckx and Van Tricht are well known names in the region called "Pajottenland".
Their daughter Elisabeth Sterckx (Pamel 1754 - Okegem 1799) was the mother of Adrianus Neukermans (Okegem 1788 - 1860). Amandus (Okegem 1824 - 1857) was the son of Adrianus and the father of my great-grandfather Hermilianus Neukermans (Okegem 1855 - 1932).
