Film taken off web

I was not planning to react on this almost insignificant "fait divers" but between the author, "responsible" governments and other authorities, and part of the world, they have almost made it into a world state affair.

My pinch of salt - for what it's worth.

1. The author is a political parvenu, willing to do anything to come in the spotlights.
2. The reaction of the (Dutch) authorities has been very "dutch" - an exemple of Dutch courage that is. Ignoring the dude would have been an option, but not in super political correct Dutchovia. They have sown unrest and panic wherever they possibly could.
3. And then the teleguided reactions in "the islam world". How many of those vocal protesters might have seen the film, do you think ?

But there is one positive aspect : a very large majority of European muslims appears to have handled the provocation as it deserves to be : by ignoring it.

And let's not forget the media : they have done their very best to create another row following the baptism in the roman catholic church - by pope Benedict XVI - of an ex muslim, during the pascal vigil in St Peter's basilica in Rome. Fortunately, "la sauce n'a pas prise" as we say over here, but they have tried their very, very best anyway.
