From October 10 2007 to January 20 2009 : 468 more days. It looks like an eternity, but it will pass, hopefully without too much new stupidities and absurdities or fresh bloodshed. "Ander en beter", as we say in flemish.

The present situation is not good - the understatement of the year ? - but unfortunately, some time after January 20 2009, and if I'm still around, I may regret that I ever wrote this short comment.

Improbable ? Yes, ... but entirely possible nevertheless.
