Why ?

When Flemish people move to Wallonia they integrate into the local communities and are - in most of the cases - welcomed with open arms by the locals.

Unfortunately, the opposite is not true. When French speaking people move into Flanders most of the time they create French speaking enclaves and refuse to integrate. That's how Flanders lost the "communes à facilités" which should be ceded to Brussels. You cannot change history after the facts. That is, you can change the perception, but not the facts.

But at the present time, we are no longer considerering the "communes" under the smoke of Brussels, but the whole of Flemish Brabant. The movement seems unstoppable.

But there is hope. If those people do not want to understand sociological, societal and cultural reasons, they may understand the language of money. Building plots in Flanders are much more expensive than in Wallonia.

Please do not misunderstand me : I do not long for pure Flemish communities. That idea has revolting, fascistoïd side connotations.

Let us welcome newcomers with open arms, but let them integrate into the communities they come to instead of trying to colonise them.

Who are the imperialists in that game ?
