If this proves literally true, this is absolutely unbelievable !
This time, the pope's reaction came almost lightning fast, which was not the case when the scandals exploded. Who heard him explicitely condemn the ex-bishop in Bruges ? I did not : in that instance, he apparently needed time to think. He did not need to think now : this time he spoke much too fast and - in my view - out of turn. I am truly scandalised by his reaction. I now know what he considers important, and what not !!
Fortunately, he is not infallible in this matter.

Zulke reacties kunnen wij absoluut missen ! Zelfs indien hij reden gehad had om te klagen, had hij beter eerst eens aan de parabel van de splinter en de balk gedacht !
Vreemd ... wereldvreemd, die man.
Mijn achting en sympathie voor die man hebben een zéér ernstige knauw gekregen.

Nog eens, het gaat me niet over gelijk en ongelijk in dit uiterst complex probleem. Dat zal wel nooit duidelijk worden, want aan beide zijden ideologisch getint.

Ik stel alleen vast dat het Vaticaan, en de paus, nu zéér prompt reageerden, en zodoende een totaal verkeerd signaal over hun prioriteiten de wereld instuurden.
Persoonlijk blijf ik dit totaal onverteerbaar vinden.
