Blue monday

A British psychologist has computed that tomorrow, January 19 2009, will be de most depressing day of the year. The guy also has defined the happiest day in the year.

The guy has come to the conclusion that the third Monday of January is the most depressing day of any year. Of course, he has developed a scientific method which allows him to reach these earth shattering conclusions.

Experience teaches that one cannot trust psychologists and that one cannot trust statistics either. So what to think when one finds a combination of both ?

However, the forecast still may become a self fullfilling prophecy. If enough rational and sane people get depressed by this pseudo scientific horse manure, then tomorrow may become the bleakest day of the year indeed.

Up to January 19, that is.
