September 19 1749

On that day Petrus Joannes De Vidts was born in Pamel where he died on July 26 1793. He became a meisenier in 1784, the last in the line, and married Catharina Van der Straeten (Ternat ca 1753 - Pamel 1801).

Their son Joannes Franciscus De Vidts (Pamel 1784 - 1839) was the father of Joannes De Vidts (Pamel 1811 - 1881), and the grandfather of my great-grandfather Felix. Felix never knew his grandfather because he was born in 1855, about 16 years after his grandfather passed away.

Joannes Franciscus also was the grandfather of Antonia De Vidts, born in Pamel in 1840. As stated before, Antonia was a sister of Felix and she is a great-great-grandmother of mine on my father's side.

These latest generations have been amply documented before.
