Ferdinandus Van der Sleyen (Pamel 1724 - 1810) and Joanna Vernaillen (Impegem 1725 - Pamel 1791) greeted their newborn third child out of five : Michael Van der Sleyen.

Michael married Petronella Van Eeckhoudt (Pamel 1771 - 1828) and they had six children. Michael died in Pamel on February 7 1827.
