Darwin or die ?

From : http://www.creativeminorityreport.com/.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has adopted a resolution to ban creationism from receiving any discussion in schools outside of religion classes.
The reason? "The Parliamentary Assembly is worried about the possible ill-effects of the spread of creationist ideas within our education systems and about the consequences for our democracies," said the resolution.
The resolution and these esteemed parliamentarians, it should come as no surprise make no distinction between actual creationists and those who entertain the idea that their may be more to the design to the universe and man than just dumb luck and random mutation.
In fact, anyone who does not strictly and dogmatically adhere to notion of strict Darwinian evolution is labeled as anti-science and is considered anathema.

Far from me the idea to doubt evolution theory or to subscribe to the ridiculous theories of some bible belters in the US and elsewhere. But parliamentarians becoming more dogmatic than the roman catholic church of half a century ago ? Is creationism a real danger threatening our society ? I doubt that very much ... but it is most certainly an easy subject to tackle without any political risk.

C'mon, look at most people and there's no doubt we are monkeys... except for me, I'm definitely divine.

Seriously: do follow your statement and support it to a certain extent, but don't don't wish to open a discussion this time. I know you're a bit too contrarian for me on this one. Much respect nevertheless.
