Retirement

I do not like publicity, and I do not particularly like Dexia (or any other bank for that matter) but this is a small masterpiece.
This is exactly how I felt now almost seven years ago.
A tie was part of our "uniform", and I have quite a collection of them. But I haven't worn one since December 31 2000 except for maybe five or six funerals.
Hmm ... ties for business and for funerals ?? I'll have to think about that one ...

I'm happy to say I've worn a tie on about two occasions, didn't like it, and never have again. I find that when you dress up formally and leave out the tie, no-one notices or commets about it, anyway.

Do not forget that this blog is written by a being out of another age altogether, almost out of prehistory : the early fourties of the twentieth century.
