December 10 1692

The earliest Timmermans forefather I can document was Franciscus Timmermans, who died in Gooik on December 10 1692. Her married Catharina Snoeck who died in Gooik in 1673.

I do not know where Franciscus and Catharina were born or where they married.The parochial registers for Gooik are a mess for parts of the relevant period. Some websites state as a fact that both were born in Gooik ca 1625. I have to see proof still, and I am working on it.

Francisca and Catharina had eight children ; my ancestor Judocus was their oldest child (Gooik 1649 - 1694). According to my present sources he had but one surviving son, Joannes (Gooik 1686 - 1769) who sought marital bliss in Meerbeke. He had eight children that I know of : Nicolaes lived for almost a century (Meerbeke 1711 - 1808), and married twice.
