Greedy G. Greed

I published these thoughts as a reaction to one of my own posts a couple of days ago. I think they are important enough to be repeated in a post of their own.

The more I think about it, the more I am convinced that there is but one major problem with this world : greed. All other problems can be traced back to greed.

Friedrich Engels had it right : "From the first day to this, sheer greed was the driving spirit of civilization."

The real name of Satan is Greed.

Greed creates all sorts of desequilibria, and desequilibria create crises, and turmoil, and injustice.

And we all are guilty, in various degrees of course, but no one is innocent.

Greed is the original sin.
